Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan invites Chinese Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturers to be established in Indonesia. The invite was directly conveyed by Zulkifli Hasan during a meeting with NIO Financial Director Steven Weng and Vice President of China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation – Electric Wei (CRRC EV), Zang Wei, in China on Tuesday (10/17/2023). “We offer NIO and CRRC EV to invest in Indonesia. The current politic situation in Indonesia is in balance and our economy is continuously grow. We also have various incentive to provide the right momentum for EV corporation in developing business in Indonesia,” says Zulkifli through written statement in Jakarta on Wednesday (10/18/2023). According to him, Indonesia is firmly committed in developing EV ecosystem to realize net zero emission and decarbonization acceleration. Therefore, the exploration of EV development with China hopefully could trigger the realization of the commitment. NIO and CRRC EV welcomes the offer from Zulkifli and saw the potential in contributing the development of Indonesian EV ecosystem. The Chinese manufacturers hopes could find the right local partners to expand their business. The minister hopes the EV investment by China could be driving force of EV industrial development. “The presence of Chinese EV manufacturers hopes could gave positive impacts for the EV industry development in Indonesia.
