Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry  of Foreign Affairs confirmed that all Indonesian nationals in Iran are safe and accounted for, following recent escalations

“Our Embassy in Tehran has been in communication with WNIs to monitor their conditions. All are reported safe,” according to the official statement from the Ministry’s Directorate for Citizen Protection over the weekend as reported by antaranews.com..

Currently, 392 Indonesian citizens are registered in Iran.

The Embassy has maintained Alert Level II since April 2024, following security tensions. Recent airstrikes by Israel on Iranian military sites in Tehran, Ilam, and Khuzestan have intensified regional instability, prompting the Ministry to advise heightened caution for Indonesians in Iran, Israel, and Lebanon.

“All Indonesians should exercise caution, limit non-essential movement, and avoid high-risk areas,” the Ministry advised, urging citizens to follow contingency updates issued by local embassies.

For those planning travel to Iran, Israel, Lebanon, Palestine, or Yemen, the Ministry strongly recommends delaying plans until the situation stabilizes. Travelers with Middle Eastern flight routes should check for potential airspace closures or cancellations. For urgent assistance, WNIs can contact the nearest Indonesian embassy hotline.
