Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Cybercrime Directorate has arrested a husband and wife for allegedly inciting attacks on the home of legislator Ahmad Sahroni and the North Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police headquarters. T
“The suspects created and shared online content spreading hatred against individuals and groups, while urging people to storm Ahmad Sahroni’s residence and North Jakarta Police through Facebook groups,” said Brigadier General Himawan Bayu Aji, the Director of Cybercrime at the INP, on Wednesday night (3/9/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
The husband, identified as SB (35), used the account “Nannu” to post calls for action in a Facebook group with nearly 87,000 members, while his wife, identified as G (20), used the account “Bambu Runcing” in another group of over 9,000 members. Suspect SB also managed a WhatsApp group that organized participants for the planned gathering.
Both face charges under Indonesia’s revised Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) Law and the Criminal Code.
