Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia has joined a coalition of Muslim-majority nations to strongly condemn Israel's recent efforts to impose "unauthorized sovereignty" and expand illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank.
In a joint statement issued Monday (9/2/2026), the group of foreign ministers from Indonesia, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the UAE, and Qatar warned that these administrative and legal maneuvers accelerate the illegal annexation of Palestinian land and the forced displacement of its people.
"The Ministers reaffirmed that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories," the joint declaration said, emphasizing that such actions represent a flagrant violation of international law and UN Security Council Resolution 2334, as cited by antaranews.com.
The coalition further warned that Israel’s expansionist policies jeopardize the two-state solution and risk igniting broader regional violence.
Citing the 2024 International Court of Justice advisory opinion, the ministers called on the global community to hold Israel accountable and urged an immediate end to provocative rhetoric. They reiterated that a sovereign Palestinian state based on 1967 borders remains the only viable path to enduring peace and regional stability.
