The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo launched the Affordable Food Movement (GPM), which was held simultaneously across all regional police in collaboration with the State Logistics Agency (Bulog). This program aims to provide affordable staple foods to communities affected by rising staple food prices.

The launch took place at the Bulog Complex, Jakarta Regional Office, on Thursday (8/14/2025). During the event, General Sigit directly monitored the implementation of the GPM in various regions through interactive dialogues with several regional police chiefs, including Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Ribut Hari Wibowo.

"Today, all police stations and precincts in Semarang are selling the food items. Specifically for Semarang, there are 17 locations carrying out the program, and today we distributed 514 tons, all at a price of IDR 11,000," replied Inspector General Ribut.

General Sigit expressed his appreciation for this achievement. "First of all, I appreciate that people are getting rice at the same price as Bulog. This will certainly be very helpful," he said.

In addition to Central Java, INP Chief is also monitoring GPM reports from the West Kalimantan Regional Police, the North Maluku Regional Police, and the South Sulawesi Regional Police. He emphasized the importance of regular evaluation and accelerated distribution in the regions.

"I entrust that over the next week, we will evaluate and continue to monitor and maintain rice prices at locations, both retail and traditional markets, where prices are still above the HET. Take immediate action," he emphasized.
