inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) has reaffirmed its commitment to respecting and following up on the Constitutional Court (MK) ruling regarding the assignment of police members to civilian positions.
This statement was delivered by the Head of the Public Relations Division of INP, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho during a doorstop session at the Headquarters on Monday, November 17, 2025.
He explained that the INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo had held a special meeting that morning to formulate initial steps.
"We certainly appreciates and respects the Constitutional Court's decision. This morning, the Chief of Police gathered relevant officials to discuss the steps that must be taken," he said.
As a follow-up, General Sigit ordered the formation of a working group to compile a rapid study that will form the basis for the technical implementation of the MK ruling.
"We will form a working group to conduct a rapid study related to the MK ruling, so that it is not open to multiple interpretations in the future," Sandi explained.
The working group will work intensively and coordinate across institutions, including with the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, the National Civil Service Agency, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, the Ministry of Finance, and MK as the final decision-making body.
In addition to ensuring compliance with regulations, this rapid assessment aims to develop implementation steps that will avoid controversy.
Sandi emphasized that the INP Chief instructed that this work be completed as quickly as possible.
"The INP Chief has instructed that this be completed as quickly as possible. We are racing against time to ensure everything is completed," he said.
