Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Kramat Jati Indonesian National Police (INP) Hospital is examining the body of a decapitated woman found in Muara Baru, North Jakarta.
DNA testing is underway to confirm whether the recovered head and torso belong to the same person.
"We are conducting DNA analysis to verify if the body parts match," said Brigadier General Prima Heru Yulihartono, the Head of the INP Hospital. "An autopsy will help us determine the cause of death and establish her identity."
The woman’s head was delivered to the INP Hospital early Wednesday morning (30/10/2024)by Muara Baru Police, while the torso arrived Tuesday evening. The INP hospital has yet to identify the victim, as they need to compare antemortem data from possible family members with postmortem findings.
The body was found wrapped in a sack and bound, discovered by locals near the Nizam Zachman Oceanic Fishing Port. So far, no family has come forward to identify the deceased.
