Inp.polri.go.id - Riau Islands. Children at State Elementary School (SDN) 024 and SDN 022 Galang displayed enthusiasm as they were invited to engage in playful activities with policewomen. This heartwarming event served a dual significance, offering both a delightful moment of interaction and contributing to the essential process of trauma recovery following a recent incident in Rempang.
The shared moments of storytelling and play are expected to infuse the children with joy, igniting a newfound zeal for learning. It is hoped that this spark will continue to grow within them, ultimately shaping them into the future pillars of the nation.
With nearly 300 students in each school, harmoniously joining their voices in song, and receiving a nourishing snack, the event touched every child. Fifteen policewomen were present at each location, providing invaluable support in the journey of trauma healing.
Syafri, the Principal of SDN 024, expressed gratitude on Monday (18/9/23), "Thank you to the Minister of Investment Mr. Bahlil Lahadalia for visiting SDN 024 Galang. Thank you to Indonesian National Police (INP) for conducting these trauma-healing activities at our school."
The Ministry of Investment, in collaboration with the INP and the local Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), organized this vital trauma-healing initiative. Minister of Investment Bahlil Lahadalia, alongside Vice Chief of Riau Islands Regional Police Brigadier General Asep Syafrudin and other officials, dedicated their time to bringing comfort and joy to the children and elderly residents of Galang Island.
Addressing the purpose behind his visit, the Minister of Investment remarked, "The reason for my visit to the school is that some time ago, the students participating in school activities were exposed to tear gas during the Rempang Galang demonstration."
The Minister further encouraged educators at both SDNs to cultivate enthusiasm among their students, equipping them to become visionary leaders of the nation. The Minister also underscored the equal importance of rural and urban schools, emphasizing his own humble beginnings in Fakfak.
"Thank you, kids. I hope you all succeed and achieve your dreams, whether it's becoming a mayor, governor, civil servant, Indonesian Military, INP, or an entrepreneur," stated the Minister.
In addition to the children, mothers also took part in this process of healing, engaging in meaningful conversations about the challenges they face and receiving vital health check-ups.
The INP hopes that mothers, in a state of both physical and mental well-being, will continue to play a pivotal role in nurturing intelligent, capable children, as it is believed that intelligent children are born from intelligent mothers.
