Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Executive Director of Indonesian Police Strategic Studies Institute (Lemkapi) Edi Hasibuan says the Indonesian National Police (INP) still need support from community organizations, including Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) to preserve security and order.

“Police cannot work alone. They need the support of community organizations,” says Edi in his written statement on Tuesday (4/30/2024).

The statement conveyed following INP Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, attendance in the halal bihalal event held by the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board on Sunday (28/4/24).

Edi says that the relationship between INP and NU has been well maintained since a long time ago and also demonstrates public support for the police.

Furthermore, NU has also given its contribution to support every police activity, particularly duties involving maintaining public security and order.

On the other hand, Edi firmly believes that without the support of NU and other community organizations, INP could not carry out their duties optimally.

Therefore, all police ranks from the lowest to the highest are obliged to get close and formed a strong bond with community organizations in order to maintain public security and order.
