Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps anticipated the highest volume of return traffic from Eid al-Fitr festivities to occur on Sunday and Monday.  Inspector General Aan Suhanan, the INP Traffic Corps Head, advised travelers on Friday (12/4/2024) to avoid these peak times by returning earlier or later, suggesting 17 to 19 April 2024, as alternative dates.  He also recommended travelers to take advantage of discounted toll rates on 17 to 19 April 2024  to alleviate congestion, as reported by antaranews.com  Chief Aan encouraged employers to offer work-from-home options and reminded drivers to prioritize their health and stamina, suggesting rest breaks every 4 hours for car drivers and every 2 hours for motorcyclists.  Public transport drivers are advised to have backup drivers after 8 hours to ensure safety.  Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi echoed his advice, urging early returns on Friday or Saturday (13/4) before the predicted traffic peak on the third and fourth days after Eid al-Fitr.
