Inp.polri.go.id - Palu. The Central Sulawesi Regional Police’s Security Maintenance Directorate has deployed Mounted Patrol units to ensure security at beach tourism sites and vacant homes in Palu, left unattended as owners return home for Eid.
The patrols focused on Talise Beach, a popular holiday destination and residential areas in Palu.
Assistant Superintendent Sugeng Lestari, the Head of Public Relations of the Tinombala Operation Task Force 2024, explained that these patrols, both on horseback and motorized, aim to maintain safety during the holiday season.
Talise Beach, known for its bustling crowds during holidays, received special attention from mounted patrols.
Ferdinan (12) and Medinas (10), the horses owned by the Directorate, were part of the mounted patrol. These warmblood breed horses, with brown coats, originated from the Netherlands and are trained for riding.
Patrols along the Talise Beach coastline involved interacting with the public and monitoring the surrounding area. They also closely observed vacant homes left by owners heading home for Eid, ensuring security in residential neighborhoods.
