Inp.polri.go.id – Tanjungbalai. The Indonesian President Joko Widodo visited Tanjungbalai City, North Sumatra Province on Thursday. One of his schedules during his visit to the city is to inspect Kawat Market. The primary supply that has become the focus of Jokowi during the market inspection is rice market price. “Yes, in my current inspection I am more focus in inspecting rice price,” said Jokowi. “The Stabilization of Food Supply and Prices (SPHP) rice from Bulog is still available with IDR 57,000 per 5 kg. Then, the local medium price is still also available with the price of IDR 12,800,” adds Jokowi. According to him, the rice price situation in Tanjung Balai is still better than the other province, particularly during Ramadan Holy Month. “I think compared to other provinces, it is still good. Better even. I believe if during Ramadan we can control the price like this, it would prove beneficial for the people,” Jokowi says. Prior visiting the market, Jokowi had inaugurated the Factory of Minyak Makan Merah Pagar Merbau in Deli Serdang District. Then, he continued his tour by inaugurating the implementation of presidential instructions in Tanjung Balai City. (ad/sy/pr/nm)
