Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The General Election Commission (KPU) believe that the national vote recapitulation process would be completed earlier before March 20th, 2024. KPU Commissioner, Agus Mella predicts the vote recapitulation process will be completed on March 18th, 2024. “If the target of national recapitulation is finished, we may complete the process before March 20th, 2024. Maybe around March 18th,” predicts Mellaz on Thursday (3/14/2024). Mellaz reveals that so far, the recapitulation in provincial and regency level are still on going. He hoped that the recapitulation process in province and district level could soon be completed. “We saw the province and regency level recapitulation process are still on going. However, most of them relatively on the last step of the process,” explain Mellaz. The Indonesian Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) previously demand the commitment from General Election Commission in completing the national recapitulation process of 2024 General Election. Bawaslu hopes that the recapitulation would be completed on March 20th, 2024. If KPU could not complete the recapitulation process by the date set by Bawaslu, KPU potentially will be suspected of violationg Law Number 7 of 2017 regarding the election. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
