The International Relations (IR) Division of the Indonesian National Police (INP) is actively pursuing information on the whereabouts of Harun Masiku, who is reported to be in Cambodia and has changed his citizenship. The Head of IR Division Inspector General Krishna Murti stated their commitment to collaborate with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Interpol, and the Cambodian authorities to thoroughly investigate the matter. "We are determined to take immediate action in close cooperation with the KPK, Interpol, and the Cambodian authorities," he said on Wednesday (26/7/23). Harun Masiku, a former candidate of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), is wanted for his alleged involvement in bribery and offering gifts to state officials in connection with the appointment of elected members of the House of Representatives for the 2019-2024 term by the General Election Commission (KPU). As of January 17, 2020, Harun has been placed on the wanted list (DPO). (ndt/hn/um)
