Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta administration will suspend the odd-even vehicle policy on Monday (16/9/2024), in observance of the national holiday for Islamic celebration that marks the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.
Syafrin Liputo, the Head of Jakarta's Transportation Agency, confirmed on Saturday (14/9/2024) this decision, aligning with the Joint Decree (SKB) by the Minister of Religious Affairs, Minister of Manpower, and Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform on national holidays and joint leave for 2024.
The suspension also follows Governor Regulation (Pergub) No. 88/2019, which exempts the odd-even traffic restriction on weekends and national holidays, according to antaranews.com.
Syafrin advised the public to adhere to traffic rules and instructions from field officers to ensure smooth and safe traffic conditions in Jakarta.
"Despite the policy suspension, we will continue to manage traffic to ensure safety and order," he added.
