Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung confirmed on Sunday (27/4/2025) that the city will not offer vehicle tax amnesty and will take action to compel delinquents to pay their taxes.

“Those who have enjoyed the benefits of the city’s facilities should pay taxes,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com. 

Governor Pramono explained that tax forgiveness should not apply to vehicle owners, especially those with multiple cars who can afford to pay.

The Governor emphasized the importance of helping the underprivileged, such as with diploma amnesty, but not with vehicle tax relief. 

“I will ensure those who refuse to pay their car taxes will face the consequences,” he added.

Governor Pramono reiterated that the Jakarta administration focuses on addressing the needs of the poor, like offering property tax relief for low-value homes, while ensuring that wealthier residents contribute fairly.
