Head of Jakarta Transportation Office, Syafrin Liputo, emphasized public transport will not limit passengers ahead and during Christmas and 2024 New Year Eve. “There are no decrement or limitations for public transport capacity. We only hope that passengers would use mask while inside the bus,” says Syafrin in his official statement on Friday (12/15/2023). However, he implores community who travels around to use mask to anticipate Covid-19 transmission. It was reported that Jakarta Transportation Office has coordinated with Transportation Ministry to prepare for December holiday season. “We have prepared and coordinated with officials from Transportation Ministry. From the total of 820 busses entered to Jakarta, all have been ramped check, which brings around 4,230 busses ready to serve,” says Syafrin. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
