inp.polri.go.id - Sentani. Jayapura Sub-regional Police held an Operation Patuh Cartenz 2025 roll call at Jayapura Sub-regional Police HQ on Monday (7/14/2025).
Directly led by the Chief of Jayapura Sub-regional Police, Superintendent Umar Nasatekay, the roll call was a preparation for personnel ahead of the centralized police operation that aims to create a safe, secure, and orderly situation in Jayapura Regency.
Umar says that the Operation Patuh Cartenz is an effort to raise public awareness and compliance on traffic law. He stressed that all personnel conduct their duties accordingly, professionally, humane, and prioritizing preventive and educative approaches.
The seven priority targets of Operation Patuh Cartenz 2025 include: Motorcyclists not wearing SNI helmets, drivers driving against the flow of traffic, underage drivers, drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs, cell phone use while driving, vehicles not meeting technical specifications, such as those with noisy exhausts and no license plates, and exceeding the maximum speed limit.
Operation Patuh Cartenz 2025 will last for 14 days, from July 14, 2025, to July 27, 2025, and will be implemented simultaneously throughout the Papua Regional Police jurisdiction.
The Jayapura Sub-regional Police Chief also urged the public to always obey traffic laws, complete vehicle registration documents, and obey traffic signs.
"Safety is our top priority. Let's build a culture of orderly traffic as a part of our daily lives," said Chief Umar.
This operation is expected to reduce the number of violations and accidents and create safe and conducive traffic in Jayapura Regency.
