Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The 2025 Indonesian National Police (IN P) Chief Kapolri Cup is giving Indonesian basketball a major boost, Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) President Director Junas Miradiarsyah said on Friday (26/9/2025).

“IBL congratulates all the winners of the Kapolri Cup 2025. This tournament is more than just about who wins, it shows basketball can unite high schools, communities, ministries, and institutions,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Junas praised the event for expanding the sport’s reach nationwide, engaging students and grassroots communities beyond the professional league. The Kapolri Cup featured three categories, high school, community, and institutional teams.

SMA Jubilee took the student title, while SMA Bunda Mulia finished second. In the community division, Damon Putih secured first place, followed by Damon Merah. 

Junas emphasized that such tournaments provide vital opportunities for youth development and strengthen basketball’s role as a unifying sport across generations and sectors. He expected that the Kapolri Cup would become a regular fixture.
