inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. An accident occurred involving the Electric Rail Train (KRL) from Bogor when the train hit a motorbike driver near Citayam Train Station on Friday (9/6/2024).

The accident had gone viral in social media showing the train had stopped after hitting the motorbike at the KRL railway from Bojong Gede towards Citayam.

The Vice President Corporate Secretary of Indonesian Train (KAI) Joni Martinus confirmed that the motorbike driver passed away following the accident.

Meanwhile, KAI Commuter Public Relations Manager Leza Arlan said that KAI Commuter regretted the incident of Commuter Line No. 1285B on the Bogor-Jakarta Kota route.

“Our officials have sounded the warning and the level crossing gate has been lowered. However the motorcyclist still broke through. For the safety of all, we appeal to road users to be disciplined when crossing the railway,” appeal Leza.
