Inp.polri.go.id - Bandarlampung. Lampung Regional Police have foiled an attempt to smuggle seven kilograms of methamphetamine and 204 ecstasy pills from Malaysia at Bakauheni Sea Port, South Lampung.

Lampung Police Head of Public Relations, Senior Superintendent Umi Fadilah Astutik, said on Saturday (26/10/2024) that three suspects were arrested on 19 October 2024 while attempting to transport the drugs through Bakauheni Port.

“The suspects — identified as RF, BD, and ZA — tried to evade authorities by posing as bus passengers,” she explained, as reported by antaranews.com.

The three suspects, all Indonesian migrant workers returning from Malaysia, reportedly aimed to deliver the drugs to East Java on orders from a known contact.

The Lampung Police have confiscated the drugs, valued at an estimated Rp 7.1 billion, while the search for the primary owner intensifies.
