Metro Jaya Regional Police of Special Criminal Investigation Directorate uncovers LPG illegal mixing case in Kademangan Village, South Tangerang with the perpetrator initialed RS (43). “The perpetrator has worked as paid employee at the South Tangerang Transportation Service from 2008 to 2018," says Special Criminal Investigation Director of Metro Jaya Police, Grand Commissioner Ade Safri Simanjuntak quoted from pmjnews on Thursday (9/28/2023). According to him, RS has mixed the 12 kg non-subsidized LPG with the subsidized 3 kg LPG through regulator hoses. Other than arresting the perpetrator, Police has also confiscated 33 3 kg LPG already filled with the gas, 47 empty 3 kg LPG, 16 filled 12 kg LPG, 3 empty 12 kg LPG, 4 filled 5.5 kg LPG, 3 regulator hoses, 10 12 kg LPG seals, and a sealed plastic bag. For RS crime, police will charge the guilty with Article 40 number 9 of Law Number 6 of 2023 concerning Stipulation of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perppu) Number 2 of 2022 concerning Job Creation becomes Law upon changes to provisions. Then Article 55 of Law Number 22 of 2001 concerning Oil and Natural Gas and/or Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st and Article 56 of the Criminal Code. (ad/bg/pr/nm)
