Coordinator of Anti-Corruption Community (MAKI), Boyamin Siaman conveys his appreciation towards Metro Jaya Police following the determination of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Chair as the suspect of extortion allegation case against the former Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo. “MAKI welcomes the good news of suspect determination on extortion allegation case which I have heard to be Firli Bahuri,” says Boyamin Saiman happily on Thursday (11/23/2023). His appreciation came as he thought it could potentially be politicized during the 2024 election as the determination would quickly clear any doubts. The Director of Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of Metro Jaya Police, Grand Commissioner Ade Safri Simanjuntak states that they determined the suspect after holding open session. “We have held an open session with enough evidence to determine FB, as the chair of KPK, to be the suspect of corruption criminal act of extortion, or receiving gratification or rewards from state civil apparatus or state organizers in relation to the legal process of 2020-2023 Indonesian Agriculture Ministry,” explains Ade.
