The Consul General in Kuching said that about 37 per cent of the deported Indonesian citizens/PMI-B were due to lack of proper work visas while the remaining 20 per cent were due to expired passports He added that his office had provided deportation assistance to these individuals. In addition, it has also assisted in the repatriation of 183 individuals who were stranded, sick or had problems with their employers in Sarawak until 2023.
