Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police Cyber Directorate arrested three men on Sunday for allegedly provoking their social-media followers to stage riots in Jakarta.
“Their posts contained threats and explicit calls for violent action, prompting immediate cyber-patrol intervention,” said Superintendent Fian Yunus on Monday (8/12/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Investigators traced the first threat to an Instagram Story showing a House of Representatives (DPR) building photo with the caption, “We are the shadow you fear; we are terror.” Another post read, “I’ve terrorized your dorm; maybe I should terrorize your office too.”
Police later found six assembled Molotov cocktails and encrypted chats linked to the suspects, according to antaranews.com
One of the suspects allegedly posted an image of an explosive device with the caption “getting ready,” and officers recovered additional Molotov cocktails and electronic records from his devices.
