Inp.polri.go.id - Medan. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Karyoto, has called on all officers to uphold strict neutrality and avoid engaging in practical politics during the upcoming 2024 regional elections.

"I remind all personnel to stay neutral, refraining from any actions that could show bias or favor towards any candidate," he said on Thursday (3/10/2024).

As the election campaign begins, Chief Karyoto emphasized that comprehensive security measures are being prepared, especially for the first Jakarta gubernatorial debate scheduled for 6 October 2024.

“We will ensure that all security aspects are managed thoroughly, preventing any threats that could disrupt the event,” he added.

Chief Karyoto also directed unit leaders to collaborate closely with the military and other relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth campaign activities.

“Maintain effective communication with all parties so any developments can be quickly addressed, ensuring a positive outcome for the democratic process in the Metro Jaya region,” he said.
