Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police denied circulating reports that its Criminal Investigation Directorate conducted a raid on the residence of Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes Febrie Adriansyah on Thursday.
"That is not true," said Metro Jaya Police’s Head of Public Relations, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi, in a written statement on Tuesday (5/8/2025).
He did not provide further details beyond rejecting the claim.
The Attorney General’s Office has also refuted rumors of a police raid on Deputy Attorney General Febrie’s residence.
Regarding the increased presence of the Indonesian Military (TNI) soldiers at Deputy Attorney General Febrie’s home, Anang explained that it is part of a standard security arrangement under a memorandum of understanding between the AGO and the TNI.
He added that the protection is also regulated under Presidential Regulation No. 66 of 2025 on State Protection for Prosecutors. Article 4 stipulates that prosecutors and the AGO are to be protected by both the Indonesian National Police (INP) and the TNI.
The clarification comes after social media was abuzz with a report from a media outlet claiming that police had attempted a raid on Febrie’s residence on 31 July 2025.
