Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Jakarta Metro Jaya Police launched Operasi Patuh Jaya 2025 on Monday (14/7/2025), targeting traffic violations, especially vehicles using fake license plates. 

Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto said there will be zero tolerance for such practices, which are reportedly on the rise.

“There will be no leniency for fake license plates. Officers must take firm legal action against all violators, whether private or government vehicles, on arterial roads or tollways,” he said during the launch ceremony, as reported by antaranews.com

Over 2,900 joint personnel from the police, military, and related agencies are deployed in this 14-day operation, running from July 14 to 27. The campaign, themed “Traffic Order for a Golden Indonesia,” aims to improve road discipline and legal compliance.

Chief Karyoto also reminded officers to enforce the law in a respectful and non-transactional manner, stressing professionalism and public trust.
