Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Metro Jaya Police have urged The Jakmania, supporters of Persija Jakarta, not to attend the Persib Bandung vs Persija Jakarta match at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) Stadium on Sunday, citing security regulations and public safety concerns.
“We encourage supporters to show their support without coming to the stadium, in line with the Persib versus Persija match at GBLA Stadium,” said Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto on Friday (9/1/2026), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The appeal came after existing league regulations that prohibit away supporters from attending matches, a policy aimed at preventing crowd disorder and ensuring a safe environment. Metro Jaya Police emphasized that the restriction remains in force and must be respected by all parties.
Authorities called on Persija supporters to express loyalty in a peaceful and dignified manner, supporting Indonesian football without risking public order. The high-profile match is part of the BRI Super League’s 17th week, with both teams competing near the top of the standings.
