The eight suspects are MT (43), DE (42), RE (37), A (51), LX (43), FF (45), M (40), and MF (23), with one of them, LX, from China.

Ade says that his party has uncovered three criminal action clusters, first in the import sector, second is in the food imported sector, and lastly in the health imported sectors.

“We have checked the product in our lab whether it has appropriate levels, whether it contains organic chemicals or substandard chemicals," he said.

For their crimes, they will be charged with Article 110, Article 111 in conjunction with Article 47, Article 112 in conjunction with Article 51 paragraph 2, Article 113, and Article 57 of Law Number 7 of 2014 concerning Trade. Then, Article 64 paragraph 21 of Law Number 6 of 2023 concerning Food, Article 142 of Law Number 18 of 2012 concerning Food, Article 435 in conjunction with Article 138 paragraphs 2 and 3 of Law Number 17 of 2003 concerning Health, and Article 62, Article 8 paragraph 1, Article 9 paragraph 1 Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection.
