inp.polri.go.id - Tangerang. Metro Jaya Regional Police uncovers an adulteration practice by CV Rabani Bersaudara as the packaging company for MinyaKita in Cipondoh, Tangerang, Banten. The company was found to reduce the contents of Minyakita's 1 liter packaging.

"There is a difference of around 200 milliliters and this is outside the tolerance limit allowed for a 1 litre size," said the Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Ade Safri Simanjuntak on Thursday (3/20/2025).

CV Rabbani Bersaudara, he said, has been producing cooking oil since 2020 with the cooking oil brand of Guldap premium. Guldap premium cooking oil eventually went bankrupt and was mixed into MinyaKita.

"It didn't get a good response from the public or we could say that the cooking oil didn't sell well. Then they started to take advantage of the situation to change the Guldap brand to the MinyaKita brand. So, in short, they also put the contents of Guldap premium oil into Minyakita cooking oil,” explains the police.

The suspect will be charged with the Consumer Protection Law Number 8 of 1995, Article 62 Juncto Article 8 Paragraph 1 letters b and c, and or Law Number 2 of 81 Article 32 Jo Article 30 and or Article 31 with a maximum sentence of 5 years in prison and a fine of Rp2 billion.
