Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry and Danantara CEO, Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, expected that more European companies will expand and invest in Indonesia following the conclusion of the Indonesia–European Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (I-EU CEPA), which is scheduled to be signed in September 2025.
“The CEPA opens access for Indonesia into the markets of all 27 EU member states and creates opportunities for increased investment from Europe,” he said in Brussels on Sunday (13/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Minister Rosan noted that while the Netherlands remains the largest European investor in Indonesia, companies like L’Oréal from France are also planning further expansion. He added that CEPA could help double bilateral trade from USD 30 billion to USD 60 billion.
"In this uncertain geopolitical and geoeconomic climate, CEPA is a strategic move to diversify Indonesia’s trade and investment partners," the minister said, emphasizing the deal’s importance in creating alternative markets and boosting investor confidence.
