The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, through the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DPPM), Directorate General of Research and Development (Ditjen Risbang), disbursed IDR 47.1 billion in funding through the signing of contracts for three flagship program schemes.
"This is not just about disbursing funds, but also about strengthening a sustainable research and innovation ecosystem that has a real impact on society," said Fauzan Adziman, Director General of Research and Development, as reported by Antaranews on Thursday (7/31/2025).
He explained that this program is part of the continuation of funding for the Research and Community Service Program Batch I, which has reached IDR 1.47 trillion.
The Batch II allocation covers three main schemes: IDR 25.7 billion for Research Programs (375 proposals from 110 universities), IDR 17.2 billion for Community Service Programs (496 proposals from 399 institutions), and IDR 4.2 billion to support nine selected Centers of Excellence in Science and Technology (PUI-PT).
"This funding is distributed across 38 provinces, reflecting the Ministry of Education and Technology's commitment to inclusive, research-based development that reaches all regions of Indonesia," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Director of Research and Community Service, I Ketut Adnyana, added that all research and community service program proposals funded in Batch II have gone through an administrative and substantive selection process, as well as systematic technical guidance.
The Batch II Research Program's primary focus is on strengthening research capacity in polytechnics and academies. Meanwhile, the Community Service Program emphasizes community empowerment efforts based on applicable and contextual research findings, and is spread across various regencies and cities across Indonesia.
"This isn't just about funding, but also institutional capacity building and quality assurance from the outset," he said.
