Inp.polri.go.id - Mataram. The North Lombok Sub-regional Police are investigating the death of a French woman found hanging at the terrace of her rented house on Gili Air, North Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, on Saturday morning (10/2026). 

The victim, identified as 35-year-old Lyna Normies, was discovered by an acquaintance and a local resident, prompting an immediate report to authorities.

“This investigation follows the initial report of the discovery, and we are examining the cause of death,” said North Lombok Police Criminal Investigation Unit head First Inspector I Komang Wilandra, as cited by antaranews.com.

He said preliminary findings point to a suspected suicide, based on early witness statements and observations at the scene. However, investigators are continuing to collect evidence and question witnesses to establish a complete timeline.

The body was evacuated by officers from the Gili Indah Police Office, assisted by Pemenang Police and the North Lombok Criminal Investigation Unit, and taken to Bhayangkara Hospital in Mataram for further procedures.
