Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Ternate. Faculty of Medicine of Khairun University Ternate (Unkhair), in cooperation with North Maluku Regional Police, held a Covid-19 vaccination event in supporting the government's effort to create herd immunity against Covid-19.
"This event is a great initiative to unite in supporting the government to success the vaccination programme to suppress Covid-19 transmission in North Maluku to campus spread across Ternate city", Chief of PR and Press Division of North Maluku Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Adip Rojikan, in Ternate on Friday.
According to the Chief of PR and Press Division, Deputy Chief of Regional Police, Police Brigadier General Eko Para Setyo Siswanto, that followed the vaccination event, feels proud by the active role of the campus' academicians and youths through the North Maluku branch of Indonesian Islamic Students Movement (PMII) organisation.
"This (active involvement) is a great example because, in the future, the next generations are the youth, so this event is an example to push the youth and other organisations to suppress Covid-19 transmission together", Chief of PR and Press Division said.
Chief of PR and Press Division said that the youths in North Maluku branch of PMII with the Local Health Agency and Faculty of Medicine of Unkhair conducted the Covid-19 vaccination event at the Unkhair's Faculty of Medicine building.
During the occasion, Deputy Chief of North Maluku Regional Police, Police Brigadier General Eko Para Setyo Siswanto, with the Director of Community Development and Chief of PR and Press Division of North Maluku Regional Police open the vaccination event.

Meanwhile, Chairman of PMII of North Maluku, Yuhlif Assegaf, said that teamwork conducted is the initial step to support the government in suppressing the Covid-19 transmission.
"I appreciate and thank you for this collaboration as well as the presence of Deputy Chief of Regional Police on this occasion", PMII Chairman of North Maluku said.
Therefore, the Deputy Chief of Regional Police encourages all walks of life, either old or young, to work hand in hand in Covid-19 prevention and handling in North Maluku.
"Let us do and take part in the Covid-19 prevention and handling so that North Maluku could be free from Covid-19", the Deputy Chief of Regional Police said.
