Inp.polri.go.id - North Penajam Paser. The North Penajam Paser Sub-regional Police in East Kalimantan has confirmed that a 17-year-old suspect, identified as Jnd, accused of murdering a family of five in Penajam Paser Utara District does not suffer from any mental illness.
"We have received test results indicating that the suspec, is mentally sound and does not suffer from any mental disorder," said Chief of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the North Penajam Paser Police, Superintendent Dian Kusnawan, on Saturday (24/2/2024).
According to the Detective Chief, the suspect committed the murder due to an ongoing dispute between his family and the victims' family in Babulu Laut Village, Babulu District, on 2 February 2024 around 2 am, antaranews.com reported.
The five victims included parents, W (35) and SW (34), and their three children, RJS (15), VDS (11), and ZAA (3).
The North Penajam Paser Police have completed the investigation and transferred the case to the North Penajam Paser Prosecutor's Office for prosecution.
The charges against Jnd include Articles 340, 399, and 338 of the Criminal Code, as well as the Child Protection Law and aggravated theft charges.
