Jakarta - The Chief of Indonesian National Police, Police General Listyo Sigit, awarded the Bintang Bhayangkara Pratama of honour signed by Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to 61 High Officers of Indonesian National Police, eight High Officers of Indonesian National Armed Forces and 5 State Civil Apparatus, at the Rupatama Building at the Indonesian National Police Headquarters, Jakarta South, Thursday (30/12). Sigit expressed his appreciation to the High Officer of the Indonesian National Armed Forces and State Civil Apparatus in his mandate. They have continued to provide extraordinary support and contribution to Indonesian National Police's transformation efforts in organization, operations and public services. "Of course, we will continue to uphold the mandate that has been given related to changes in the field of organization, changes in the field of operations and public services," said Sigit in his mandate. The former Chief of Banten Regional Police ensured that, for now, and in the future, he would continue to improve the bureaucracy in the Indonesian National Police institution by continuing to improve public services so that it will increasingly become what is expected by the community. This commitment, said Sigit, is in line with the expectations of Indonesian President Jokowi, who wants an improvement in the internal bureaucracy of the Patrolman Corps. Therefore, Sigit emphasized that the Indonesian National Police continue to improve and evaluate the field of organization and service to become an institution expected and loved by the community. This has been stated as the ideals and spirit of the Presisi (Predictive, Responsiveness and Transparency with Justice) Indonesian National Police. "This is part of our efforts to realize the transformation of the Indonesian National Police to become a Precise Indonesian National Police," said the former Chief of the Indonesian National Police-Criminal Investigation Agency. More profoundly, Sigit provides space for all parties to provide input, criticism, and suggestions to the Indonesian National Police institution. The reason is that all forms of attention will be used as a form of internal correction and evaluation to strengthen further the transformation of the field of public services and organizational change. Sigit understands that change for the better will go through all forms of dynamics and existing processes. And must adapt to the situation and developments that occur today. However, he is optimistic that this can be realized with the support of all parties and the community. "Of course, related to the transformation in the field of public services and the transformation of the organizational field, we certainly ask for continuous corrections, given improvements. So that day by day we can create a modern Indonesian National Police organization, a serving Indonesian National Police organization and Indonesian National Police organization that can truly apply the principles of Good Governance," said Sigit. To the High Officer of the Indonesian National Police, who was awarded the Bintang Bhayangkara Pratama, Sigit reminded that the title was obtained easily. Bypassing the screening, internal examination, and the existing track record, said Sigit, this mark of honour must be appropriately maintained. An honorary title, said Sigit, in addition to bringing pride, has all kinds of consequences. Sigit stated that as a leader in the work unit, he must transform what has been achieved to his members. "Because we want our organization to be getting better day by day. Many things need to be corrected. Many deviations must be corrected, and it is the task of colleagues to transform this in their respective work units to be role models, change and bring improvements in their respective work units, said Sigit. Sigit emphasized that the High Officer of the Indonesian National Police, who received an honorary title, should be an example and role model. That way, it will improve the Indonesian National Police institution in the future. As a leader, Sigit requested that Indonesian National Police personnel do not hesitate to take firm action against members who deviate, do not serve according to existing regulations, and take steps that can damage the dignity and authority of the Indonesian National Police. "Give examples and role models. Give rewards for outstanding members. So that the Indonesian National Police institution will be better, more trusted and loved by the community," said Sigit. At the end of his mandate, Sigit emphasized maintaining and improving the synergy between the Indonesian National Armed Forces and Indonesian National Police. This is the key to facing all forms of challenges and threats that Indonesia will face. This, said Sigit, was proven in the synergy in handling and controlling the Covid-19 pandemic. Which currently continues to improve, and the rate of growth can be controlled. That way, said Sigit, the community's economic growth would continue to increase. "Of course, we must continue to maintain this because of that synergy and solidity to continue to maintain the existing Covid-19 condition so that at the beginning of the year, we can still maintain it. And of course, in a position like this, we hope that economic growth can return to normal, can we encourage it. And we hope that it will be better than the previous growth. Likewise regarding the stability of public order and safety, which we must maintain as capital so that the economy runs well," concluded Sigit.
