During the peak of the return flow of Eid 2022, the Traffic Unit of Polda Metro Jaya has implemented a one-way traffic engineering on the Cikampek Toll Road to anticipate the congestion on the road. Director of Traffic Unit (Dirlantas) Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, S.I.K., M.T.C.P., said that the traffic engineering will be implemented up to KM 3 Cikampek Toll Road. "One-way traffic engineering at KM 3 is indeed scheduled at 07.00 WIB (Saturday 7 May 2022)," said Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya. Before the one-way scheme was carried out, Sambodo said, his party would sterilize the route from 05.00 WIB. "Cawang, between the Japek and Priok toll roads leading to Cikampek, as well as those from Halim to Cikampek, Jatibening, Jor heading towards Cikampek, from Cilincing to Cikampek, all Bekasi, Jatiwaringin toll gates, we want all of them to be closed," stated Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya. Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya revealed, that Cawang Toll Gate towards the East, will be implemented an open-close traffic engineering. Cawang will be closed to reduce the burden in West Karawang, and the one-way system will be implemented in KM 47. Later, drivers from Jakarta to the east will be directed to exit in West Karawang, to break down the density from the east.
