Polda Sumut Identified Eight Suspects Related to Human Slavery of Former Langkat Regent

The Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of North Sumatra Police (Polda Sumut), Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi said the police had named eight suspects related to the operation of human slavery in Raja Tengah Village, Kuala District, Langkat Regency. "Polda Sumut has named eight suspects related to the human slavery by former Langkat Regent," said Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi, Tuesday (22/03/22). According to the Intermediate Officer of the North Sumatra Police, the determination of the suspect's status was issued after investigators from the General Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimum) of Polda Sumut conducted an open case. The suspects will be charged to Article 7 of Law No. 21/2007 with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison plus a third of the main threat. While the second case is regarding the act of sheltering TIP victims. The suspects, in this case, are SP and TS. Both are subject to Article 2 of Law No. 21/2007 with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
