inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. The Bandung Sub-regional City Police conducted a raid by securing 75 thugs who have been disturbing the people in Bandung.
Bandung Sub-regional City Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Budi Sartono said that this action was part of his staff's commitment to clean up the capital city of West Java from thuggery that disturbs the community.
"We are committed to erase thuggery from here," said Budi Sartono in Bandung, Wednesday (5/14/2025).
According to the police, perpetrators were involved in various actions, ranging from extortion from stall traders in the market, selling mineral water by force, to becoming illegal parking attendants who ask for money by force from drivers.
Furthermore, Budi says that they are not doing this operation only once, but will be a routine activity as part of efforts to maintain order and a sense of security for Bandung City residents.
"After this arrest, we immediately examined them. If it is proven that there are criminal elements, it will be processed," he said.
Budi said that the public can report through the nearest police station or through the Kang Busar WhatsApp messaging service if they ever feel disturbed by acts of thuggery.
He further emphasized that his party is open to public reports in an effort to crack down on thuggery practices.
"We hope that Bandung City people do not hesitate to report to the police if they ever find acts of thuggery. We will immediately send a team to arrest the perpetrators in response to the reports," he said.
