inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police confirmed that the investigation into the Executive Director of the Lokataru Foundation, Delpedro Marhaen, for inciting a demonstration that turned violent in August 2025, was proportional.

"We declare that the respondent's actions during a quo investigation were carried out professionally, proportionally, and based on objective considerations for the sake of the law and the public interest," explained First Police Inspector Jandri, a member of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Legal Division team, during a pretrial hearing on Monday (10/20/2025).

The police directed the judge to reject the applicant's pretrial motion in its entirety or at least declare it inadmissible. The determination of the applicant as a suspect is legally valid, based on the investigator's eligibility and based on two valid pieces of evidence as referred to in Article 184 of the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP).

"We also ordered the applicant to understand the case and the applicable legal regulations," he stated.

The Delpedro pretrial hearing was held at the South Jakarta District Court.
