inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A drug inmate in Class I Depok Prison with the initials of RAJ (26) lost his life after being beaten by other six prisoners. Police then identify the six prisoners as the suspects.

“We identify the six prisoners as the suspects who did the beatings,” explains Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relations, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam on Saturday (8/31/2024).

He says that the six suspects are Iksan, Tian, Suyatno, Lukman, Arter, and Yusuf. Suspects beat the victim with bare hands, chairs, and wires.

Furthermore, police revealed that the beating was triggered after the other six suspects did not like how the victim behaved.

“The victim did the registration, had a health check and had his hair shaved (bald). During the process, the victim showed impolite behavior, prompting other inmates to attack him,” explains Ade.

The victim, Ade continued, suffered bruises to stab wounds in the chest, right abdomen, and back. As a result of their actions, the perpetrators were charged with Article 170 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 351 of the Criminal Code.
