inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Metro Jaya Regional Police confirms the news about the assault on police officers during drug raids in Ambon Village, West Jakarta. The incident occurred on Sunday (10/13/2024).

"Several of our personnel from the Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Investigation Directorate were experiencing several issues while enforcing the law in an effort to drug traffickers and drug abusers. This resulted in our members being injured, becoming victims of violence," explained the Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam on Tuesday (10/15/2024).

Explained by Ade, the assaulted members were immediately evacuated to the nearest hospital for medical treatment. Currently, police are investigating and searching the people who attacks the police members.

“What is clear is that suspects will be hunted down and arrested for their actions as in enforcing the law, our members have already stated that they are police members who are there to carry out their duty,” explains Ade.

On the other hand, Ade affirms that police will not back down by such threats. The effort in eradicating drugs at the location remains continue.
