Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police have confirmed the revocation of former Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)’s Chairman Firli Bahuri's passport as part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of bribery and extortion.
"The passport revocation is based on a request from the investigators to prevent the suspect from leaving the country," said Metro Jaya Police Director of Special Criminal Investigation, Senior Superintendent Ade Safri Simanjuntak, on Wednesday (17/7/2024).
This revocation coincides with a second travel ban imposed on Firli. Chief
Ade Safri emphasized that the revocation is in line with the interests of the investigation, ensuring that all procedures are followed correctly.
"The investigation is being conducted professionally, transparently, and with accountability," he assured.
