inp.polri.go.id - Mamuju. The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the West Sulawesi Regional Police during a raid on a warehouse in Polewali Mandar Regency confiscated three trucks containing hundreds of boxes of fake oil.

"There are three trucks carrying fake oil that we have confiscated as evidence," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the West Sulawesi Regional Police, Superintendent Saprodin, in Polewali Mandar..

The three trucks of evidence, said Saprodin, each contained 557 boxes, 359 boxes and 327 boxes of fake oil.

"In the warehouse there are still around 500 more boxes that we will soon secure," said Saprodin.

On Sunday (5/25/2025), West Sulawesi Regional Police raided a warehouse storing fake oil in Wonomulyo District, Polewali Mandar Regency.

Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the West Sulawesi Regional Police, continued Saprodin, are still conducting an in-depth examination of the warehouse owner to uncover who was involved, and how the fake oils were distributed to the market.

"We will investigate all possibilities, including the distribution channels and the parties involved," said Saprodin.

The raid on the fake oil storage warehouse in Wonomulyo District, Polewali Mandar Regency was the result of an intensive investigation for two months by the Industry and Trade Sub-Directorate (Indagsi) of the Criminal Investigation Directorate.

"This finding indicates the existence of an illegal distribution network that is currently being investigated by the police," said Saprodin.
