The Head of Operations for the West Pasaman Sub-regional Police, Police Assistant Superintendent Muzhendra, confirmed that his office distributed basic food supplies to the people affected by the flood.

"This aid was received directly by the Village Head of Katiagan, Endang Putra. Hopefully, this aid will be beneficial for the people of Katiagan, one of the coastal communities in West Pasaman," he said, Sunday (1/4/2026).

In his statement, he stated that his office continues to distribute food supplies to the people affected by the natural disaster in West Pasaman.

"The natural disaster that occurred at the end of November 2025 continues to cause deep sorrow for the victims. In addition to sweeping away homes, it also damaged agricultural and plantation land," he noted.

Since the disaster, his office has continued to assist the affected community. In addition to assisting with evacuations, they have also assisted in the search for victims and distributed various aid to victims of the natural disaster.

"The grief of the disaster victims is our collective grief. We must continue to help each other because solidarity means so much to them," he said.

West Pasaman is one of the disaster-prone areas in West Sumatra. At the end of November 2025, West Pasaman was also affected by floods and landslides. The area is currently in recovery and several buildings were planned to be reconstructed.
