inp.polri.go.id - Bekasi. After the two bodies have been identified by the police, five more bodies of Bekasi River drowned victims have been successfully identified by the medical team.
The Head of Police Doctor Bureau of Indonesian National Police (INP) Medical Unit, Brigadier General Nyoman Eddy Purnama Wirawan says that the identification was carried out by matching DNA, fingerprints, dental data, and personal belongings of the victim.
“At 15.00 pm, our joint team successfully identified the five bodies. We are using various ways to identify the body such as testing the DNA fingerprints, dental data, and personal belongings of the victim,” explains Nyoman on Thursday (9/26/2024).
Nyoman says that the identity of the first of the five victims is Muhammad Farhan, male (20), from Makam Perdurenan alley. He was identified using DNA test, fingerprints, dental data, medical characteristics, and his personal belongings
The second victim is Rizki Ramadhan, male (15), from South Ciketing. He was successfully identified after DNA and dental data tests were conducted. The findings of his personal belongings also helps the process of identification.
The third body is is Ridho Darmawan, male (15), from Gedung Gede village. He was identified using DNA tests, dental data, medical characteristics, and items found.
The fourth teenager is Resky Dwi Cahyo, male (16), from South Ciketing. He was identified using DNA data, dental, medical characteristics, and properties.
The last victim is Vino Satriani, male (15), from Kelapa Dua Village. He was identified through DNA test, dental data, medical characteristics, and personal belongings.
“Now that all victims have been identified, they are returned to their families for funeral,” explains Nyoman.
Previously, authorities have identified the first two victims of the seven drowned bodies found in Bekasi River on Sunday (9/22/204). The two of them are Muhammad Rizki (19) from Bojong Menteng Rawa Lumbu and Ahmad Davi (16) from Bantargebang.
