inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Central Kalimantan Regional Police deploys 998 personnel to secure the 2024 Regional Head Election process to ensure the ongoing election campaign days goes safely in the province.

Head of Central Kalimantan Regional Police Public Relations Division, Senior Superintendent Erlan Munaji explains that this move is conducted in accordance with the direction letter issued by the Central Kalimantan Regional Police Chief.

“We have optimized the security operations efforts according to the direction letter from the Central Kalimantan Regional Police Chief. The aim of this operation is to create a safe and orderly situation during the campaign days,” explains Djoko on Thursday (9/26/2024).

According to the General Election Commission Regulation (PKPU) Number 2 of 2024 concerning the schedule of the 2024 Regional Head Election, the campaign period will take place from September 25th, 2023 to November 23rd, 2024.

“This initiative is part of Central Kalimantan Regional Police commitment to support the smooth event of the Regional Head Election, particularly during the election campaign days that is prone to many vulnerabilities,” adds Djoko.

Senior Superintendent Erlan Munaji hopes that firm security conducted by the police will help ensure the success of the 2024 Regional Head Election.
