inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The General Criminal Investigation Directorate of Indonesian National Police (INP) suspended the detention of four suspects in the alleged forgery of building use rights certificates (SHGB) and land ownership certificates (SHM) of the sea fence area in Kohod Village, Tangerang Regency, Banten.

The four suspects are the Village Head (Kades) of Kohod Arsin, UK as the Village Secretary (Sekdes) of Kohod, and SP and CE as the attorneys.

"In connection with the expiration of the detention period, investigators will suspend the detention of the four suspects before April 24 or the expiration of the detention period," said the Director of INP General Criminal Investigation Directorate, Brigadier General Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro on Friday (4/25/2025).

The four suspects began their detention on February 24, 2025. Based on Articles 24 and 25 of the Criminal Code, the maximum detention of suspects before being brought to court is 60 days. If calculated from February 24, 2025 to April 24, 2025, the suspects have fulfilled the 60-day period.

It is known that the police have submitted the files of the four suspects to the Public Prosecutor at the Attorney General for General Crimes of the Attorney General's Office.

In the process, the Public Prosecutor returned the files that had been submitted by the Directorate of General Crimes with instructions that the investigation of this case be followed up in the realm of corruption crimes.

After receiving the files for the second time from the Public Prosecutor, Djuhandhani emphasized that the document forgery case did not cause any real loss to state finances or the economy so that investigators believe that the case is not an act of corruption because the ones who suffered the loss were the fishing community.

In addition, indications of bribery or gratification by state officials are also being investigated by the INP Anti-Corruption Corps.

"The criminal act of forgery of documents as referred to in the formulation of Article 263 of the Criminal Code according to investigators has clearly occurred and all elements have been fulfilled, both formally and materially," he said.
