For their actions, the suspects will be subject to Article 2 of Law Number 21 of 2007 concerning the Eradication of Human Trafficking (TPPO) with a minimum sentence of 3 years in prison, and a maximum of 15 years. In addition, the three suspects were also charged with Article 81 of Law Number 18 of 2017 concerning the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers with a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a maximum fine of IDR 5 billion.
